Kara didn't exactly have the healthiest relationship with God or church when she was a child, and as she grew into her teens and young adulthood, she strayed even further away from Him. It wasn't until 2014 when a personal tragedy made her hit rock bottom. Slowly, she began to question her place in this world and her life choices. It wasn't until an impromptu move to Michigan and meeting her new neighbor that she finally found her way back to church. She's steadily rebuilding her relationship with God, and while she still flounders from time to time, she knows she's where she's supposed to be. It's her sincere hope that she can speak to struggling teens and parents through fiction, even if it's just to lift their spirits or make them smile.
Kara believes in the one living and true God. She believes in God in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that God created all, upholds all and governs all. A firm believer in treating others as she wants to be treated, she strives every day to show grace, compassion, forgiveness, and love to others.
